36 Weeks

I'm all caught up on my summer blogging!!! So now stay tuned for baby updates!

I'm 36 weeks pregnant today and went to my 36 week check-up this morning with Pam, my mother-in-law. The doctor said everything looked great and that she thought Michael was in position. I asked her whether styes were a symptom of pregnancy, and she said she didn't think so. But I still think they are since I've never had one until I got pregnant. Maybe it's some kind of hormone thing? Anyway, I measured 35 cm, and I go back in a week for my next check-up. I feel good...I get tired easily, I have heartburn, sometimes it feels like its hard to breath, and my feet and ankles are constantly swollen. I guess that makes it sound like I don't feel good, but I promise that I do! Everyone keeps asking, "Aren't you ready to get that baby out?" And my response is, "No! Kenneth isn't going to be home for another 2 weeks!" Plus I want to be able to start the school year and meet my class.

After my appointment, Gary met Pam and I at my school to semi set up my classroom. The air conditioning is not turned on in my part of the building, so we didn't stay too long. They got my furniture rearranged while I did some brief organizing. I was really worried that I was going to get to the building and all the other teachers would have already set their rooms up, but no one had been there to do anything, so that was a relief! I'm at least one step ahead!

This weekend I'm probably heading to Atlanta to meet Mom and Dad at Jenn and Craig's new house. So stay tuned for photos of their new house! And stay tuned for my 37 week update next week!

Hi! I'm a friend of Leah's and was checking out your blog from the link on her page. I was going to let you know that I used to have styes a lot in college. They are infections of your eyelashes, so every time you have one you need to change out your mascara and eyeliner! If you don't, they will just keep coming back. Also, a warm washcloth always helped with mine. Congrats on your baby!
