He Did It!

We need a drum roll for this announcement...

Michael slept through the night last night for the first time!!!

I've read all the books, and all of them say that a baby is "sleeping" through the night when he sleeps for a 5 hour stretch. Michael has been doing that for a few weeks, but I didn't consider it sleeping through the night since I require more than 5 hours in one stretch of sleep. Soooo...last night I put Michael down at 8:45, and Kenneth didn't get him out of his crib until 8:15 this morning! He fussed a bit around 3:00 a.m., and Kenneth put his paci back in his mouth. He fussed a little more around 6:00, and I put his paci back in. Then he would wake up a bit and "talk" to himself and then fall asleep. He did this on and off from 6:45 until 8:15. I know he probably won't do that again tonight, but it's a start!

Anyway, I just had to share. Here are a couple of pictures from last week in honor of Mimi staying with us for a couple weeks to watch Michael. She's back home in Florida now, and we miss having the extra set of hands!

Mimi loved when Michael was all wrapped in his towels after his bath. The puppy towel was her favorite...I have to concur...too cute!

Here is Mimi and Michael in the rocker Mimi gave to me. It was the rocker she used with my mom. We brought it downstairs for her while she was here so she could use it without having to go up and down the stairs. Doesn't Michael look as big is her in this photo?
