Fall Owl Fest 2009

Anyone ever see a Bald Eagle up close? They're HUGE! The second Saturday in November, we went to the Fall Owl Fest at the Avian Reconditioning Center. It was super cool! They had all different kind of owls and hawks, and there were some demonstrations with some of the birds where they would attack "prey" (which was just raw meat) at different heights. It was a beautiful day, and Michael really enjoyed it since we forgot the stroller and he got to toddle around! :o)

He walked around for a while and really freaked Kenneth and me out!

Seriously, doesn't he look like he came straight out of a horror movie?

Then he sat in this chair, and we took Michael to meet him.

Michael was fascinated...

This was my favorite owl. I'm not sure what kind he is, but he's adorable!
