We celebrated Michael's SECOND (seriously...two years?!) birthday on Saturday, August 7th, with family and friends at our new house. We didn't do anything really specific just yet since Michael is still a bit clueless as to why August 8th is such a wonderful day at this point in his little life. But what a sweet little life he has had and shared with us!
Michael playing with his new Thomas the Train. If you shake it, it will make the "choo! choo!" sound and then take off on it's own....it is FAST! Thank you Lain and Noah!

I'd like to give a big shout out to Lindsay who brought her two kids, Lain and Noah...they ended up being the only two kids able to make it to the party that afternoon. This is a brief glimpse of Michael's playroom. The door you see goes into the garage. Lain, Noah, and Michael definitely put the playroom to good use during the party!

Michael sneaking some Buffalo Chicken dip...

Dinner time! Hamburgers and hot dogs!

My buddy and me! Wish my hair was still that
blonde!

My mom starting chasing Michael around the house, and Noah joined in the fun...

Gammi switched directions and scared Michael when he came around the corner. (Sorry, Mom, but I had to post this!)

Michael and his COOKIE cake!!!!

Noah loved the fudge frosting...

Get it Noah!

Lain wanted to "strike a pose"!

Happy boy with his cookie cake this year!

We got a cookie cake because he loves cookies, and he was not interested at all in the sheet cake we got him last year. The cookie cake was definitely a hit!

Cousin Ryan helped Michael open his first present...

Which was a remote control fire truck from Miss Jennifer who works with Kenneth. Michael and Noah were really excited about it...

This is Stephanie, my cousin. She is about to be a second year law student at George Washington University in D.C. She wanted to prove to us all that she could open a child's toy since she is two years away from a pretty fancy degree. It took her a little while, but she got that dang truck out of the packaging!

I tried to get Michael's photo with the
Prathers (minus Gordy). This was as good as I could get...

Lain LOVES Murphy. Her mom will probably be mad when she sees this photo since Lain has strict instructions not to pick up the dog. :o)

My boys...

Lain wanted a photo with Mr. Kenneth and the birthday boy...

Noah trying to give Murphy a kiss goodbye...

Playing with his new remote control fire truck...

I know this is blurry, but I still had to post it! Michael with his "Joe," which is what he calls him.

Thirsty boy...

Michael's new hat...

Poor Murphy...
Thank you for everyone who came to celebrate Michael's 2 years of life!
