Happy New Year!

While 2010 was a wonderful year, I'm looking forward to what 2011 has in store for us.

Highlights of 2010:

~Kenneth got a job and we became a two-income-family. Finally!
~We sold our townhouse in Birmingham after it sat on the market from June '09 until April '10.
~We closed on a house in Longwood, FL and finally had our own space after living with my parents for 14 months.
~Michael turned 2 --- where does the time go?
~We got to meet sweet baby Jackson Shepard who lives in Santa Monica, CA with his parents, who our dear friends.
~Celebrated my 10 year high school reunion --- seriously, where does the time go?
~Kenneth and I celebrated 5 years of marriage --- once again, where does the time go?

We spent New Year's Eve having a family fun day --- a trip to the zoo, lunch at Chick-fil-a, and a walk around part of our neighborhood before bed time. I love family fun days!

Seeing the alligator was really exciting because it was the first time we'd spotted him since we got our membership!
Michael loved watching pennies go around and around in this contraption...

Thinking about petting a goat...

Enjoying Chick-Fil-A outside on New Year's Eve - I love Florida!
Action shot!

We found this HUGE leaf in front of our neighbor's house during a walk before bed time...
Michael took a little tumble on our walk and he got to use his boo-boo-buddy that he got from Santa in his stocking.
Do you see the small piece of rolled up wrapping paper off to the side in the picture above? That thing was a life saver over the holidays! Michael would tell us, "I gonna do my work." Then he would get that scrap of wrapping paper and unroll it and reroll it over and over. My guess is that this was his way of wrapping presents, but I'm not really sure. I would normally give him that scrap of paper when I was wrapping presents so that he had something to keep his attention. I think it got thrown out when we put all of our Christmas stuff away later this weekend, but I will definitely try to have him "do his work" again next year!
