Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a long, but fun day this year!  We had a low key morning, but things really picked up around 11:00 when we headed over to Pammy and Burger's for Christmas Eve lunch and to celebrate Christmas with the Hamburgs.  By the time we got home, it seemed as though it was time to turn right around and head to church for the Christmas Eve service, which Michael and I spent a majority of in the lobby due a certain 3-year-old not taking a nap.  After the service, we went to Uncle Rod and Aunt Carolyn's for Christmas Eve dinner and dessert.  After we left there, we drove around our neighborhood to look at Christmas lights, and then we went home to finish the Advent calendar, pick out cookies for Santa, read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, and get Michael to bed before Santa Claus arrived!  Whewww!!

Michael's first actual Lego set.  It has 144 pieces y'all.  We're used to the Duplo sets that have an average of 20 pieces.  He does love his "little legos" though!

Michael decided Santa needed all green frosted cookies...

Cars and cookies...it doesn't get much better than this!

'Twas the night before Christmas...

And all through the house...

I was playing with some settings on my camera in the rest of these...I was only really pleased with how one of them turned out, but I'm learning!

LOVE this one.

Before Michael went to sleep, he told us he wanted to wait for Santa to come because he wanted to talk to him. :o)  I think he was asleep within 3 minutes of saying that!
