So, I gave my self a double dose of "My Baby is Growing Too Fast" syrup this week...not only did he start walking all by himself, I decided he needed his first hair cut. I'm not sure why I was so determined to get it done, and I definitely cried afterwards when I realized that he is walking and looks like a little boy now. But anyway...he's still adorable, even though the girl at the kid salon took a little more curl off than I thought I'd asked her to, but what are you going to do? For your viewing pleasure...
BEFORE the lady cut off most of Michael's beautiful curls...
This photo shows why I wanted to cut his hair...it was out of control!
Such a big boy with his salon cape!
This was right after she started, and this was actually showing Michael somewhat handling it. We eventually had to take him out of the chair, so Kenneth could hold him, and I could hold his head steady. And he screamed bloody murder. I was scared the people who were waiting were either going to call DHR or run out telling their children that they wouldn't do something like that to them. I think everyone in the shop was just as happy as we were when it was all over.
AFTER
(This is the part where you look at all the after photos and then leave a comment saying how adorable his new do is.)
He looks like such a boy now!
Here is something funny that happened while she was cutting his hair...Kenneth his holding Michael to keep his body still while I'm holding his head to keep it still, so the lady could cut it with the little rinky-dink scissors. Michael is still screaming bloody murder. She's about done, and she goes, "Do you think he could handle the clippers?" Kenneth and I have now both broken a sweat from trying to restrain our child, and I think I gave her the "Are you %*&#@ kidding me?" look. That's what I felt like saying, but instead I just said, "No, I think this will be all we can handle today." She then proceeded to give Kenneth some pointers on how to trim his sideburns when he is asleep. Seriously?! The child doesn't even have sideburns!
Needless to say, Michael will be very happy to not see the inside of a kid salon for a very long time, and he won't have to because we're going to let it get wild and crazy before we put him through that again! We definitely wore him out with the whole hair cut thing. He is out for the count right now (which is why I was able to get this posted on the day he got it cut)!
