Oh my goodness...it's blazing hot here in Florida right now. It hit about 93 at 10:00 this morning! While we love the warm weather, we're beginning to get a little anxious for some cooler days to get here.
We got up this morning and headed to Park Avenue in Winter Park, which is a city just outside of downtown Orlando. For our Birmingham readers, I would compare it to 18th Street S in downtown Homewood. For our Nashville readers, I would compare it to Main Street in downtown Franklin. Anyway, every Saturday morning, there is a Farmer's Market, and we'd been wanting to check it out. It just so happens that today was also the Winter Park Art Festival, so there were TONS of people out and about. We strolled through the Art Festival and then got some fresh fruit for Michael at the Farmer's Market before walking up and down Park Avenue.
In the middle of the Art Festival there was this really pretty fountain...
We wore Michael out! Since he fell asleep in the van, we drove around Maitland, which is just North of Winter Park, and it's an area that we're looking to maybe purchase a home whenever our townhouse sells. We would love to look in Winter Park, but unless Kenneth gets his first law job as a partner of a big firm, that ain't gonna happen! :o)
We had a great morning, and we're now enjoying SEC football! Go 'Dores! Go Gators!
