Disclaimer --- There are WAY too many pictures in this post!
We went on the annual Hamburg Family Vacation to Emerald Isle, NC at the end of June/beginning of July. I spent most of the trip in bed or on the couch wondering why I thought it was a good idea to time this pregnancy so I'd have my first semester sickness during the summer! Kenneth took a majority of these photos with our new camera...
Pammy drove down to our house a couple of days before we left for the beach. Michael was so excited when we saw her car pull into the driveway...
Our daily set-up on the beach that I only participated in one day this year!
Michael didn't get a nap this day and conked out on the way to the restaurant at dinner time. He slept like this at The Island Grille for about 30 minutes or so...it was quite impressive...
Practicing his baseball skills with Burger. We're working on the whole "keep your eye on the ball" part...
I had to include a picture of these kids who were staying in the house next door. They wanted so badly to play Boccie Ball and Paddle Ball and any other game our crew was playing. Poor kids...dragged to the beach for a family vacation without friends and with parents who apparently didn't like to come out and enjoy the beach!
My favorite shot of my boys...
Sweet Max, Kara (Kenneth's cousin) and Matt's son...
Proud Grandma, Dianne, enjoyed lots of time with Max...
Kara doing something I will never know how to do...crocheting...
Showing Melissa his super cool Sponge Bob Happy Meal toy...
Making a wish at the pond outside the Aquarium...
Michael giving Max a special gift from the aquarium...
This sand castle was outside the aquarium. It was called "The Shark's Revenge," and I thought it was so cute!
Nothing beats a little afternoon Lightning McQueen book and Lee Child drama before a nap.

Spouses and babies got to join in the fun too!

Classic...
Look at that posture!
Sweet boy!
This was such a great week, even though I wasn't feeling quite like myself. My birthday fell during the week, and all of the big kids went to Dairy Queen after dinner to celebrate. I was also treated to a pedicure, which was fantastic! It was so great having so many extra hands to take care of Michael. We are looking forward to taking our new addition next summer!
