Kenneth took the last Friday of March off from work, and we headed to my parents' condo in Ponce Inlet for the weekend. I had forgotten how much packing you have to do with a baby! Oh my goodness...it looked like we were going to be gone for at least a week, and we were only gone for 3 days. It was worth it though! The weather was great, and I always find it easier to relax when close to the ocean.
Pammy and Burger came to spend Friday with us. It worked out great...they took Michael down to the beach while we took Sarah to meet Kenneth's coworkers at his old office in Daytona. We also enjoyed a nice dinner at North Turn, which is walking distance from my parents' complex.
All ready to go to Daddy's old office!
Michael didn't get a nap with all the playing on the beach and swimming in the pool. He said he wanted to lay down while we were waiting for our food, so he leaned over on my knee. He was OUT like a light within a few minutes. He slept through dinner just like this.
He woke up when Kenneth picked him up to walk home and as we were walking out of the restaurant, he says, "We didn't eat dinner!" So what did we do? We walked to the local ice cream parlor and let him have ice cream instead of his spaghetti that we took to go from the restaurant!
On our way to get ice cream...
Saturday, we walked down the beach to see Maddie. Maddie and her family live down the street from us in Longwood, and they have a condo a few complexes down from my parents'. Michael was excited to have some kids to play with in the water and sand.
Documentation that Sarah actually made it out to the beach. She slept through her entire 1st beach outing.
I'm looking forward to many more beach days this summer!
