Baby Stuff...

This is going to be a random post, so bear with me!

I went to a woman's house on Tuesday to pick out Michael's bedding. She makes homemade bedding out of her home and only charges the wholesale price for the fabric, so we got an awesome deal! Plus, I absolutely LOVE the fabric that she had. Here are the swatches of what I ordered:The light green fabric on the left will be on one side of the blanket, and the chocolate brown next to it will be the other side of the blanket. The beige background with the green/gold/blue polka dots will be the bed skirt and one side of a throw pillow (the chocolate brown will be the other side). The brown and beige polka dot ribbon will be the piping and ties of the bumper pad, which will be beige. The light green and the chocolate brown fabrics are the really soft, fuzzy fabric. Love it!

We also found this painting on etsy.com, which has become one of my new favorite websites. The artist who paints it will change the colors to match the room, so we're going to have the helmet painted light green to match the bedding.

That is all we have figured out so far with the nursery. However, we have already received some AWESOME baby gifts! I probably won't post all of the wonderful gifts we receive, but there aren't too many, yet, so I figured it would be fun to post what we've gotten so far.

Happy viewing!

Too precious...this was the first gift we received from my parents. It's pretty surprising it was Gator gear, huh? :o)

Guess who these are from? Kenneth's parents! Vandy bottle, bib, onesie, and blanket.

Michael's Rubber Ducky...with the date and score of the Vandy vs. Kentucky basketball score to commemorate the huge win!

"Eensie Weensie Spider" onesie from Kenneth's parents. It should fit just in time for Halloween!

Umm...are these not the cutest infant booties EVER?! These were from a kindergarten teacher at my school...I have to give her a shout out: THANK YOU MELANIE!

Winnie the Pooh gowns and a green fuzzy, froggy blanket from my parents.
This was the first boy-specific gift we received. It is from one of my coworkers, Amy. She put it on my desk at school when I went to get my kids from the gym in the morning, and it was waiting for me when we got back to the room. It made me cry, and it got me all excited about having a boy!
Sporty onesies and burp cloths from Kenneth's good friend Tony and his wife, Casey.

That's all for now! More to come, I'm sure. :o)

So, Michael is going to be asking a lot of questions later on in life. One of those is going to be, "Why did I have a Florida outfit and a Vandy outfit?" Then he'll realize his dad is Vandy fan who went to Tennessee (...) and his mom is a Florida fan who went to college in Tennessee (...). All of his questions will then be answered... :)
