Three Months

Michael is three months today! He has grown and changed so much in this last month...it really is incredible. My time at home is dwindling very quickly (3 weeks left!), and I'm trying not to think about it, but it seems to have a way of staying in the back of mind and creeping up throughout the day. I just hope the remainder of this school year goes by quickly, so it will be summer, and I can be a stay-at-home mommy again!

We took Michael to Portrait Innovations yesterday to have his three month pictures taken, and they turned out so cute! He fell asleep right before we started, so he looks really chilled out in most of the photos. He kept looking at the photographer and the assistant like they were crazy...it was really funny. I'll try to scan them in and post them sometime (no promises on when).

Also, I took him to the doctor about a week and a half ago to talk to Dr. Dudgeon about his Acid Relfux. I'm glad I took him in because Dr. Dudgeon found an ear infection in his right ear just before it got really bad. He was also weighed, and he weighed in at 13 pounds and 1/2 ounce. I feel like he's gained 5 pounds since then...I know he hasn't, but he feels so heavy!

At three months of age, Michael...has REALLY started smiling, especially after he's eaten and when he wakes up in the morning...is eating 26-32 ounces a day...still hates to burp during his feedings...still wakes up twice at night to eat...wears 3-6 month or 6-9 month clothes depending on the brand...has moved up to size 2 diapers...is still having trouble falling asleep on his own, especially during nap time...still loves bath time and now loves drying off time (which makes me so happy since I'm the one who dries him off!)...has discovered his hands and seems to like the way they taste...loves his bouncer seat...is really starting to get into his activity gym...still naps better when he's being held (any advice on how to get a baby to nap well by himself would be appreciated)...is beginning to make lots of noises...is getting so big...is the joy of our lives!

i had a hard time getting Hannah to stay alseep too for nap time. I would bounce her to sleep and then right when i laid her down in her crib she would wake up and cry. I started just putting her in her crib right when i saw her start to get a little cranky or start rubbing her eyes. I would rock her for a few minutes just so she would know to settle down and then just put her in her crib and let her talk or play or cry and little till she feel asleep. Maybe even start the mobile so she was distracted while i left the room. it's hard though, right? consistent schedules are always good too. good luck!! he's a cutie!

Laura, he is too cute!! I can't believe how big he is getting. It sounds like he is so much fun to be with and you sound like you are loving being a mommy! Keep the pictures coming please so I can keep up with him :)

1. Michael is so precious.
2. This is totally random but is your doctor Brian Dudgeon? That is my neice and nephew's pediatrician and he is awesome! He went to high school with my brother in law and we went to dinner with them a couple of times in B'ham. Love him!

Hope you all are doing well
