Christmas Eve was surprisingly low key. The men were gone most of the morning moving a bunch of furniture into a beach condo my parents purchased over Thanksgiving break, so it was just Jenn, Gammi, myself, and the three boys. We spent the morning kind of lounging around. Actually, we spent most of the day lounging around. Gammi, Jenn, Harrison, and Max headed out in the early afternoon to run a few last minute errands, but the rest of us had a nice casual day. It was wonderful!
Mimi decided on the Saturday before Christmas that she wanted to take us to the Melting Pot for Christmas Eve dinner. At first, it was going to be with the great-grandchildren, but my parents ended up watching the boys, so that the rest of us could have a relaxing dinner with adults. It was so great! And it was definitely a good idea to keep a 5 month old, 16 month old, and 3 year old out of the Melting Pot. Our dinner ended up lasting close to 3 hours! The boys would have not been able to make it through that too well.
After dinner, we came home, waited on Santa so we could help him position the gifts, and then called it a night!
Michael was really excited to see some of Max's toys. He knew exactly what to do with the bouncer...I guess he remembered since he spent so much time it for the first 6+ months of his life! He doesn't fit quite as well this year as he did last year...
